Worklog for task "Implement universal "What is it?" mechanics and entity voiceover"

18 сСнт. 2026 Π³., 09:07:53

The functionality has been implemented and published.

Two independent actions are now available in the entity card:

  • ? β€” open an explanation of what it is / what the entity means;
  • πŸ”Š β€” hear how it sounds / is pronounced.

The basic card retains the current mechanism for learning the written form. For example:

🐢 β†’ DOG β†’ DO-G β†’ D-O-G

The ? and πŸ”Š buttons close different gaps in knowledge: a child may know the object but not its name; know the word by ear but not understand its meaning; or know neither the object nor the name.

Opening ? displays an expanded card with a text description of the entity. The description is not voiced automatically: there is a separate πŸ”Š button next to it. During voicing, the text is visually highlighted in sync with the speech so that the child can match the sounding speech with the written text. Individual words in the description can also be used as independent elements for voicing.

Thus, the new mechanism allows the child to independently obtain the missing level of information and simultaneously creates a transition from the existing word β†’ syllables β†’ letters structure to the perception of coherent written text as sounding speech.

Add universal "Speaker" and "?" buttons for independent learning of entity meanings and pronunciations, including voiceover of text explanations with synchronous highlighting.
