The number of unindexed pages continues to drop

while the number of indexed pages is growing

At the same time, Google hasn't outputted a single new page externally over the month

and this despite the fact that more than 12,000 old topics and comments were reformatted, and at least several new comprehensive articles were written.

I am increasingly convinced that Google is no longer betting on traditional search and indexing of the internet, especially since it is shifting all available resources to AI mode. Why vacuum the internet when you can just generate answers for users.

At the same time, Google uses the site quite actively in its generative answers

Meanwhile, the number of clicks is noticeably dropping, despite the growing number of impressions.

Why wouldn't they drop if many people now don't go beyond the AI Mode search results?

I'm not complaining, I'm just highlighting trends.
