There is a pilot version. Currently, it is a Docker Compose project that includes MySQL, PHP-FPM, and Nginx.

However, scripts have also been written that perform a complete installation from scratch using environment variables. You can specify a specific version of MODX, and it will be downloaded from the source code on GitHub, config patching will be performed, along with a full installation and startup.

This is a very good template for patching your own installation scenarios for a quick start.
