A managed service assumes responsibility not only for modifying the website, but also for the ability to restore it after errors, data corruption, failed migrations, or infrastructure loss.

Standard Git is not enough when significant state resides in databases, files, object storage, or other systems.

Direction

We need to determine what backup/restore levels are required for different projects, how to verify backup integrity, and to what extent recovery can be automated by an agent.

It is important to distinguish between having a backup and having proven recoverability. At the same time, there is no need to build a custom backup storage solution in advance if existing hosting/database tools solve the problem better.
