freecode.academy — historical educational and community project
freecode.academy
freecode.academy grew out of prisma-cms.com when the focus shifted from a specialized engine to programming and education in general. In turn, prisma-cms.com grew out of the modxclub.ru and prisma-cms/nextjs-nexus lineage.
The project runs on a historically continuous database whose roots go back to around 2011: users, topics, and comments have survived several reincarnations. Therefore, the project is important as digital heritage and a place for "archaeological excavations" of past eras of Russian-language web development.
Today, the educational demand for the project has significantly decreased due to changes in how programming is taught and the spread of AI/vibe coding. There is no monetization at present, but traffic remains. There is no desire to radically break the project: the community could potentially return in an updated form.
The current version runs on haih-agent. An important practical role for the near future is to direct part of the existing information flow to fi1osof.ru.
Historical chain: prisma-cms/nextjs-nexus → prisma-cms.com → freecode.academy.
