Engine for a family private social network — an experiment without retention mechanics

Engine for a family private social network

Attempts were made to create a private social environment for family and close friends, and several personal websites were indeed launched.

Practice showed that even close people are difficult to bring regularly into a separate social environment without special acquisition and retention mechanics. At the same time, such mechanics themselves contradict the author's value-based approach: the user should return because they genuinely need and like the product, rather than because they are constantly being pulled in by engagement mechanics.

Therefore, the project is important as a tested hypothesis and experience, even if it is not actively developing right now.
