**Conceptica.world** is an attempt to rethink how we search, organize, and consume knowledge in the age of AI.

A classical search engine stores an index of pages and attempts to find matching documents based on a user's query. Conceptica is built around a different informational unit — the **concept**.

A concept represents a meaningful fragment of knowledge that can be linked to other concepts, compressed into a brief summary, or decompressed to the required depth.

At the same time, Conceptica does not need to know and store everything. If its own knowledge is insufficient, an AI agent can research the internet or consult a connected specialized agent. Within the system, it makes sense to store primarily relevant, in-demand, and high-quality compressed knowledge.

## Personal Knowledge Depth

It makes no sense to explain the exact same concept in the same way to a schoolchild, a developer, and a professor.

Conceptica takes into account the concepts the user already knows and can adapt the explanation to their current level of understanding, goals, and context.

Instead of a single universal article, the system attempts to construct the most suitable path from **what the person already understands** to **what they want to understand**.

## The Internet as a Space of Sources

Websites in Conceptica are not just links in a search results page. A website itself is a concept.

A source can have a history, specialization, material quality, trust level, and ratings across multiple parameters. Conceptica does not strive to be completely neutral: the system can have its own editorial evaluation of websites, services, products, and other objects.

Therefore, sources do not necessarily carry equal weight.

## Up-to-Date World Model

Conceptica does not attempt to create a complete copy of the internet.

AI agents can research a required topic upon request, and maintain the most important and relevant areas of knowledge as constantly updated concepts and summaries.

The more important the topic and the higher the interest in it, the deeper the system can study it and the more frequently it updates.

This results in an **unevenly compressed model of knowledge about the world**, capable of increasing detail where it is truly needed.

## External AI Experts

Users will be able to connect their own specialized AI agents and specify their areas of competence.

If Conceptica lacks sufficient knowledge on a subject, it will be able to consult a suitable external expert and explicitly inform the user which agent the information came from.

In the long term, this allows building not only a space of concepts and sources, but also a **network of specialized intelligences** that the system knows how to consult depending on the task.

## The Idea

Conceptica is not an encyclopedia that tries to know everything in advance, nor is it a search engine that returns a set of pages every time.

It is an **adaptive knowledge system** that studies the world, maintains an up-to-date representation of its most significant parts, knows which sources it trusts, can consult external experts, and explains knowledge tailored to a specific individual.

Unexpectedly got potentially very cool preliminary results: in ChatGPT, you can create custom GPTs with your own actions, including those that can execute external requests. And this is very cool! Now the chat agent doesn't need to be constantly re-fed its source data - it can simply request it from my agent. Moreover, it can also work with my agent in write mode, meaning it can send some information to it with instructions like "Save this information."
